Florida has been getting a record number of tourists, and they're not all going to the vacation industry giants in Miami and Orlando. Tampa is getting its fair share as well. Are you planning on traveling to Tampa?
What are you going to do there?
We're here to talk about some fun things to do in Tampa that you can do the day you arrive or any day of your trip. Read on to learn more.
So you finally arrive in Tampa, and suddenly, it starts to rain. This is par for the course in Florida, but it can put a damper on a vacation. You're not going outside, at least at the moment.
If you're looking for something to do that won't be too crowded and will be fun for people of all ages, escape rooms can be a great option. You'll be able to solve fun puzzles with your group and work together to escape!
Once the rain has passed (and trust us, it won't take long), you can go out and enjoy what Tampa has to offer.
You can view available escape rooms here.
Busch Gardens has several fun locations. Have you been to the Tampa one yet?
It's a fantastic theme park with roller coasters, live shows, animals, kiddy rides, and so much more. Whether you love an adrenaline rush from a scary ride or you just want a relaxing day outside, there's something for you at Busch Gardens.
Tickets are a bit pricey, but you'll spend less on Busch Gardens than you would on tickets for Disney and the value is the same. This theme park s a total blast.
Looking for a break from all of the fun? Why not go view some manatees? That's right, you can see manatees relaxing in Tampa right at Tampa Electric's Manatee Viewing Center at the Big Bend Power Station at Apollo Beach.
Watching these gentle sea animals is completely free. You can also touch stingrays, buy souvenirs, and learn a thing or two about manatees!
The viewing center is geared toward children, but animal lovers of all ages will love it.
Looking for something else that's free to do when you're traveling to Tampa? The Tampa Riverwalk is another great option!
It's a 2.5-mile walkway. You can walk, run, ride a bike, or even go roller skating. It's nice all day long, so if you arrive late and you're looking for something to do, a night walk on the Riverwalk is a blast.
While the Riverwalk is free, there are plenty of paid attractions and shops. You can buy an attraction pass for admission to some of those attractions. It's great for when you want to spend all day on the Riverwalk.
So which of these things to do in Tampa will you try? Whether you're hiding from the rain in an escape room, you're walking along the Riverwalk, or anything in between, going to Tampa is going to be a lot of fun!
Enjoy your trip!
